During the time that the children of Israel were in the wilderness, a certain man was found gathering sticks upon the Sabbath day.  Yahweh commanded that the man be stoned to death.

After this happened, Yahweh commanded that we wear tzitzit (hebrew for fringe or tassels)  in the borders of our garments with a ribband of blue, throughout our generations.

Numbers 15; 37-41
37.  And Yahweh spoke unto Moses, saying,
38.  Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue.
39.  And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that you may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of Yahweh, and do them; and that you seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to go a whoring:
40.  That you may remember, and do all my commandments, and be qadesh unto your Elohim.
41.  I am Yahweh your Elohim, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your Elohim:  I am Yahweh your Elohim.

Deuteronomy 22; 12
12.  You shall make you fringes upon the four quarters of your vesture, wherewith you cover yourself.

The keeping of the Sabbath day is just as important to Yahweh as any of the other commandments he has given to us.  This is the day, Yahweh blessed and sanctified because in it he rested from all his work of creation.  The Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week.  It is not the first day of the week as many think.  There is no place in Yahweh's word where the Sabbath was changed to the first day of the week.  Man has done this, following after his own heart and eyes, doing what Yahweh has told us not to do.

Exodus 20; 8, 9, 10, & 11
 8.  Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it qadesh.
 9.  Six days shall you labour, and do all your work:
10. But the seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahweh your Elohim:  in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stanger that is within your gates:
11.  For in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day:  wherefore Yahweh blessed the sabbath day, and sanctified it.

Tzitzit are to remind us to obey the Torah always, throughout our generations and not to seek after our own heart and eyes.

Yahoshua wore them and many people were healed by touching them.  Mt. 9; 20 and Mt. 14; 36.  The Pharisees enlarged their tassels to be seen of men.  Mt. 23; 5

Now that we have learned from Yahweh's word about the wearing of fringe with a blue ribband, have you ever wondered why and how the fringe with the blue ribband remind us to keep Yahweh's commandments?

I have a thought on this, that I would like to share with you.

Job 29; 14
14.  I put on righteousness, and it clothed me:  my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.

Psalms 132; 9
 9.  Let your priests be clothed with righteousness; and let your saints shout for joy.

Ecclesiastes 9; 8
 8.  Let your garments be always white; and let your head lack no ointment.

Isaiah 61; 10
10.  I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh, my soul shall be joyful in my Elohim; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Revelation 3; 18
18.  I counsel you to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that you may be rich; (this is wearing the name of Yahoshua, which make us a part of the royal family) and white raiment, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear; ( this is the keeping of the torah which is righteousness, we are naked without it) and anoint your eyes with eyesalve, that  you may see. (this is having his indwelling Spirit which helps us to see)  Here in this verse you see repentence which means we stop sinning and turn back to his law, sin is the transgression of the law,  1 John 3; 4.  Baptism in the name of Yahoshua and being filled with his Spirit.

Revelation 19; 8
 8.  And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white:  for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

As you can see in the scriptures above, clothing or a garment can represent or be symbolic of righteousness.  His commandments are righteousness and without them we are not righteous.

Have you ever seen what happens to a garment that is not hemmed?  The materal begins to come apart.  You will see a fringing take place.  If nothing is done to stop the fringing, it will continue until nothing is left of the garment. ( Of course, this would probably not happen to the tightly made material of today.  But I hope you understand what I am trying to say. )  The blue ribband going through the fringe stops the fringing from continuing up the garment.  This blue ribband represents his torah.  Without the torah  (as without the blue ribband to stop the fringing of the garment) we have no righteousness (garment) and our nakedness is seen.  Fringe on the borders of our garments (showing a coming apart of the garment) with a blue ribband to stop the coming apart of the garment reminds us, that without his law, we are naked.

This is why looking at the fringe with the blue ribband in the borders of our clothing reminds us to keep his commandments and not to seek after our own heart and eyes.

Yahweh's word says we are to wear fringe with the blue bibband throughout our generations to remind us of his commandments.

Don't neglect to study the scriptures for yourself.  Otherwise, how will you know the truth!  There are many false teachers that are telling lies.  Many people follow them blindly, having no understanding of what Yahweh's will is.
